Dave & Buster's Orlando is easy to understand once you separate the two reasons someone might go. As an entertainment stop on I-Drive, it works. As a restaurant, it is not strong enough to carry the visit by itself.
We went for lunch with kids and paid for the meal ourselves. The atmosphere was fun, casual, and very kid-friendly without being too loud for conversation. That makes it more useful for families than someone picturing a traditional sports bar.
The food was the weak point. Nothing we ordered was worth building a recommendation around, and service was slow. The arcade is the reason to drive here. The meal is something to tolerate or keep simple while you play.
Why it works
Dave & Buster's Orlando was visited for lunch with wife and kids on 2026-05-25. The arcade and family entertainment were the clear reason to go. The restaurant was only okay, service was slow, wings arrived cold, and the food did not feel worth the price. It remains useful for I-Drive families or groups who want games, drinks, and maybe appetizers, but it should not be recommended as a food-first meal.
What to order
Keep the food order modest
The best item at our table was the kids flatbread. That is useful if you are bringing children, but it is not a reason to choose Dave & Buster's over a real restaurant.
Use appetizers if you need food with games
We would be more likely to return for entertainment and maybe appetizers than for a full meal. Bar bites make more sense here than treating dinner as the main event.
Skip the wings
The 10 wings came out cold and were not worth the price, even on the $1-per-wing special. They were the clearest miss from the visit.
When to go
Use it when the arcade is the plan: a family outing, casual date, group hangout, drinks, or an I-Drive entertainment stop. We did not need a reservation and had no wait at lunch.
Service and atmosphere
Service was slow, but the room itself did what it needed to do. It felt like a casual family sports bar with games everywhere: active, bright, kid-friendly, and easygoing rather than a serious sports-watching bar.
Price and value
The food value was not strong. Expect roughly $18 per person before tip for a basic meal, but the bill feels fair only if you are counting the broader entertainment outing. Do not come here just because you are hungry.
Choose Dave & Buster's when the point is games, family entertainment, casual drinks, or a low-pressure group stop on I-Drive. It can work for a casual date night or family meal if expectations are set correctly.
Skip it if you want a good restaurant first, fast service, strong food value, or a more adult sports-bar atmosphere. This location is family-friendly and more expensive than the food quality alone can justify.
Bottom line: Dave & Buster's Orlando is a 2.5-star restaurant attached to a much more useful entertainment stop. Go for the games. Keep the food simple. Do not make it the best meal of the day.
